Causes of World War II

At the end of world war I many people seemed to be at peace. The Treaty of Versailles ended this war and was published in Germany. It stated that Germans could not have many different war supplies, such as tanks, heavy guns, military airplanes, and war ships. The German government was also demanded to hand over colonies that it had in Africa, islands in the Pacific Ocean and different territories in Europe. Also for having caused the war, German was forced to pay the Allied forces 33 billion dollars for damages. Many people in Germany were very up site with this treaty and they felt it was too harsh on the Germans.this created tempers in Germany. A group called the League of Nation was formed to prevent war in the world. Also, the Kellogg-Briand Pact was formed which 62 countries sign. This agreement was to always settle disputes peacefully.
Then World War II started for many different reasons. This first thing that happened was Hitler began to build up an army, which went against the Treaty of Versailles. Then Hitler sends his troops to Rhineland and demands England and France to give up Sudetenland. Both England and France were not ready for a war. Then after that Hitler decides to invade Poland. Both the UK and France were both allies with Poland, so they declared war on Germany.
After two years of fighting the war is still booming. Hitler sent an assult on the British. This assault consisted of planes dropping non-stop bombs all over England for two months straight. It was said that Hitler sent over 1,000 planes to Londand every day for these two months. Finally Hitler decided to stop bombing, but he stilled killed 1,000's of English people and destroying London.
If I were in the United States in September 1914, I would have wanted the US to join this war. I feel that France and England has helped us in the past with different wars. I also think that if Hitler took over France and England, then he would come right after the US and do the same. The US could really help the French And English in this war. The US gas many different supplies that could benefit this war.

This article was very well written and well explained. i believe that the depression in the early 1900's was a lot worse than the depression now. The Great Depression had a lot more homeless people and poverty than we do today. Also The Great Depression had problems with farming and the dust bowl which created many difficulties for the people living at this time. many more people lost their jobs and lost lots of money in stocks. The Great Depression in 100% worse than the tough time that America is going through now.
