Carter's Conserve Energy Plans

I disagree with Carter's conserve energy plans because i fell they are not realistic. One thing he wanted to do was convince people to stop driving so much. This would never work. As long as there are people living in America the will be many cars on the road. Also, many large companies ship many of their supplies by road. Decreasing their driving would decrease their income. Telling people to stop driving would dramatically hurt the US. Taxing gas would also hurt the US. Carter's plan to conserve energy is not a plan that could help Americans' problems.

Protest Song

BRIGHT EYES

"When The President Talks To God"

"When the president talks to God
Are the conversations brief or long?
Does he ask to rape our women’s rights
And send poor farm kids off to die?
Does God suggest an oil hike
When the president talks to God?

When the president talks to God
Are the consonants all hard or soft?
Is he resolute all down the line?
Is every issue black or white?
Does what God say ever change his mind
When the president talks to God?

When the president talks to God
Does he fake that drawl or merely nod?
Agree which convicts should be killed?
Where prisons should be built and filled?
Which voter fraud must be concealed
When the president talks to God?

When the president talks to God
I wonder which one plays the better cop
We should find some jobs. the ghetto's broke
No, they're lazy, George, I say we don't
Just give 'em more liquor stores and dirty coke
That's what God recommends

When the president talks to God
Do they drink near beer and go play golf
While they pick which countries to invade
Which Muslim souls still can be saved?
I guess god just calls a spade a spade
When the president talks to God

When the president talks to God
Does he ever think that maybe he's not?
That that voice is just inside his head
When he kneels next to the presidential bed
Does he ever smell his own bullshit
When the president talks to God?

I doubt it

I doubt it"

This song protests against president George Bush. The wirter disagrees with many things that the president did at the time and asks way is does it. The writer talks about how we are sending young people away for no reason to fight a war over oil. Also, he discusses how the president does not fix problems in the United States.

Womens Rights

I feel that today in our country that women are still not seen equal to men. women still get treated different in the work place. stats show that women clearly get paid less than men. Also, we still not have had a women president. this clearly show that women are not equal to men still after all these years.

JFK Field Trip

1)One thing I learned about JFK on this trip was that he recived many gift from rulers outside of the country.
2)My favorite element about the trip was all the exhibits that were presented around the museum that we could look at and read about JFK's life
3) I feel that we did not have enough time to look at all the exhibits
4)I feel that JFK was one of the best presidents of all time. He tried to get many different thing passed while he was in office, but this thing weren't passed until after his death. the acts eventually helped the USA in a positive way.

The Butter battle book

At the end of The Butter Battle Book, i think that the battle between the Zooks and Yooks will end. I think that the Zooks and Yooks will finally that they are equally as strong. No matter what kind of war weapon the one builds, the other will build the same thing. The Zooks and Yooks will never become friends but they will not bother each other any more even though they are very different and they disagree the way the other lives their life.

Causes of World War II

At the end of world war I many people seemed to be at peace. The Treaty of Versailles ended this war and was published in Germany. It stated that Germans could not have many different war supplies, such as tanks, heavy guns, military airplanes, and war ships. The German government was also demanded to hand over colonies that it had in Africa, islands in the Pacific Ocean and different territories in Europe. Also for having caused the war, German was forced to pay the Allied forces 33 billion dollars for damages. Many people in Germany were very up site with this treaty and they felt it was too harsh on the Germans.this created tempers in Germany. A group called the League of Nation was formed to prevent war in the world. Also, the Kellogg-Briand Pact was formed which 62 countries sign. This agreement was to always settle disputes peacefully.
Then World War II started for many different reasons. This first thing that happened was Hitler began to build up an army, which went against the Treaty of Versailles. Then Hitler sends his troops to Rhineland and demands England and France to give up Sudetenland. Both England and France were not ready for a war. Then after that Hitler decides to invade Poland. Both the UK and France were both allies with Poland, so they declared war on Germany.
After two years of fighting the war is still booming. Hitler sent an assult on the British. This assault consisted of planes dropping non-stop bombs all over England for two months straight. It was said that Hitler sent over 1,000 planes to Londand every day for these two months. Finally Hitler decided to stop bombing, but he stilled killed 1,000's of English people and destroying London.
If I were in the United States in September 1914, I would have wanted the US to join this war. I feel that France and England has helped us in the past with different wars. I also think that if Hitler took over France and England, then he would come right after the US and do the same. The US could really help the French And English in this war. The US gas many different supplies that could benefit this war.

This article was very well written and well explained. i believe that the depression in the early 1900's was a lot worse than the depression now. The Great Depression had a lot more homeless people and poverty than we do today. Also The Great Depression had problems with farming and the dust bowl which created many difficulties for the people living at this time. many more people lost their jobs and lost lots of money in stocks. The Great Depression in 100% worse than the tough time that America is going through now.
